All evacuation warnings lifted for 74-acre brush fire near Palmdale

A brush fire near Palmdale briefly triggered evacuation warnings for some Los Angeles County residents on Tuesday.

The Hilary Fire was first reported around 2 p.m. off East Barrel Springs Road, north of 40th Street E.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said forward progress stopped just before 3:30 p.m., with the fire holding at 74 acres.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m., evacuation warnings previously issued for two L.A. County zones were lifted.
